Questions & Answers
FAQ’S
Q: What Types of Radio’s do we restore?
A: We restore all types of tube equipment, radio’s (American and European), amplifiers, and antique car radio’s. Basically anything built between 1920 and the early 60’s.
Q: I would like to restore a radio that’s been in my family for generations? What is the procedure? How much will it cost?
A: The first thing you should do is DO NOT TRY TO PLAY IT. You could damage the radio making it un-repairable. You can contact us at the email address and phone number listed on the cover page. If you can send pictures to us including the make and model of the radio, we can determine a rough estimate to restore your set back to its original condition. You can also call and make an appointment to bring it in for a FREE estimate.
Q: Will my radio’s value increase after restoration?
A: If it is a family heirloom, it is priceless! Insurance companies tend to value a restored radio based on replicability which is a current book value of an as-found set in addition to any money invested in the restoration of both the electronics and the cabinet refinishing.
